Peripheral facial paralysis, hearing loss and the vesicular lesions spreading over mainly ear, face and also shoulder are the major symptoms of Ramsay-Hunt syndrome. Usually it causes peripheral facial paralysis similar to that of Bell’s palsy however goes with more severe symptoms, and possibility of complete nerve degeneration is much more. We applied electrostimulation with galvanic current to a 58-year-old male patient whose electroneuromyographic examinations had revealed complete axonal degeneration in right facial nerve, and no improvement in peripheral facial paralysis had been provided with medical treatment. We are presenting the patient that we followed for 1 year and observed his progress.
