Split cord malformation (Diastometamyelia, diplomyelia) is a rare developmental embryological fusion defect and is characterized by double spinal cord formation. It is an important etiological factor in the pathogenesis of scoliosis. Magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography are very useful radiological examinations in the diagnosis. In addition, X Ray is helpful in detecting bone septum and vertebral anomalies. Here, we present two cases, who were diagnosed at 41 and 52 years of age as having the rarely seen split cord malformation.
