Diabetic radiculoplexus neuropathy is a relatively rare condition, in which unilateral or bilateral muscular weakness that acutely or subacutely develops mainly around the hip in type 2 diabetes patients. A 71-year-old man with diabetes mellitus presented with asymmetrical weakness and atrophy of the right shoulder girdle muscles for the last 3 months. He had limitation of right shoulder range of motions and could not raise his right arm. Our patient, who fulfilled the criteria for the diagnosis of diabetic radiculoplexus neuropathy based on clinical and electrodiagnostic features, is reported and discussed in the light of the literature.
