Glenohumeral Eklem İnstabilitesinin Patofizyolojisi

The shoulder complex has the greatest mobility of all joints in the body. Shoulder instability is common in society, particularly in the athletic population because of this joints’ anatomic and biomechanic characteristics. The term “shoulder instability” refers to a spectrum of disorders that includes dislocation, subluxation and laxity. Over the last several decades there has been an improved understanding of the intricate anatomy that provides stability to the glenohumeral joint. Anatomy of the normal glenohumeral joint and the pathophysiology of the unstable shoulder are reviewed in this article.
