Fibromiyalji Tanısı Konan 220 Vakanın Klinik Özellikleri
Clinical features of 220 patients with fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia is a clinical syndrome characterized by diffuse musculoskeletal pain and stiffneess, accompanied by multiple tender points. In this study, we investigated the clinical features of fibromyalgia and which symptom caused patients seek medical help. Correlations between the symptoms were also evaluated. There were 220 patients fibromyalgia, of which 182 were female (%% 82.72), 38 were male (% 17.28). Their mean age was 42.4+2.1 years. The most common complaint in young patients were neck and shoulder pain, while in the elderly low back and knee pain were common. Mean duration of symptoms was 62.6+60.8 (3-300) months. In 187 of cases (% 84.99) there was morning stiffness. In 153 (% 69.54) fatigue, in 79 (% 35.90) paresthesie, in 115 (% 52.27) headache, in 35 (% 15.90) irritable bowel syndrome and in 40 patients (% 18.80) urethral syndrome was present. Fibromyalgia syndrome was mostly seen in women and the most leading symptom was found to vary with the age.
