The anterior interrosseous nerve (AIN), which is a pure motor branch of the median nerve, innervates the flexor pollicis longus, pronator quadratus and second and third flexor digitorum profundus muscles. It may be damaged in various sites along its pathway. In this report, we present a 55-year-old male with AIN syndrome due to overuse of the forearm muscles. In addition, the causes, diagnosis and treatment of this syndrome are reviewed.
