Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a diseased state of an extremity that is characterized by very severe pain, swelling, stifness and discoloration. CRPS has been rarely reported in children. We reported on a 10 year old boy with CRPS II complaining of severe pain in his right lower extremity. One week later of a nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drug injection (IM), pain, redness, muscle weakness and swelling developed on his right leg. When patient applied our clinic, he has dropped foot, atrophy at leg muscles, limited range of motion, pes cavus deformity, swelling, increased heat and skin redness at right foot. We performed x-ray, EMNG, bone scintigraphy and laboratory tests. We treated patient with sympathetic blockade by US, diadinamic current, contrast bath, stimulation by diadinamic current, exercise, TENS and oral corticosteroid therapy. Our aim is to emphasize the importance of early recognition and an appropriate treatment in child patients with CRPS.
