Disability Inventory And Rehabilitation Outcome In Hemiplegic Patients Hemiplegia is a neurologic disorder that often changes sufferers’ lives radically and consistently, leading to serious and permanent functional losses. In cerebrovascular disorders, functional and motor assessment is of utmost importance in determining the outcomes of rehabilitation programme. In the present study, the correlation in between Chedoke-McMaster stroke assessment disability inventory (Gross Motor  fonction Index and Walking Index) results in hemiplegic patients with Brunnstrom and Functional Indepence Measurement (FIM) was evaluated. A total of 40 patients with hemiplegia were included in the study; of the cases, 16 (40%) were male and 24 (60%) female. The correlation between the disability inventory  gross motor function index results of Chedoke-McMaster Stroke Assessment (CMSA) and mobility subscores of FIM was significant (r=0,92, p<0,001). Similarly, the correlation between  walking inventory and locomotion subscores of FIM was found to be significant (r=0,96, p<0,001). As a result, the disability inventory of CMSA was found to provide extensive and useful results in the determination of small but important alterations in patient’s physical functions.
