The compare of neuromuscular electrical stimulation with exercise programme on muscle weakness because of gonarthrosis. Osteoarthritis is a progressively challenging disease nowadays related to increasing life span. Knee joint is influenced frequently. Exercise is a very important component of treatment in this disease. It is carry out different ways. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and active exercise programs are included in treatment programs usually. The aim of this study, was to compare efficacy of these two programmes. 40 patients were recruited this study and were evaluated by isometric quadriceps strength, functional capacity and pain. NMES group results were singificantly better than exercise group results at 30.
