A Study of the Validity and Reliability of Ross Information Processing Assessment Test

Objective: The Ross Information Processing Assesment (RIPA) Test, translated into Turkish Language, was examined in terms of validity and reliability in this study.
Materials and Methods: Forty-six subjects participated in this study. For criterion validity, 23 traumatic brain injured patients were compared to a control group (n=23) of normal subjects who were similar in terms of age, gender, and eductional status.
Results: The results showed that the reliability coefficients of interjudge, total, the subscales, and test-retest reliabilities were at satisfactory levels. The results concerning the content and criterion validity of RIPA test indicated that auditory processing subscale had a different construct from other subscales.
Conclusion: We propose to use the RIPA test in Turkish traumatic brain injured patients under the lights of our results.
